What Parents are Saying
Kadimaniks and USYers are not the only ones who have great things to say. Here are some quotes from parents about different programs.
“We just wanted to let you know that we appreciate the amazing job you, and the entire staff, did taking care of the campers during Hurricane Irene. It must have been difficult, to say the least, keeping hundreds of campers safe, calm, and occupied while worrying abuot your own family and friends further south. As proof of your tremendous efforts, I need to mention this: both Jackson and Raya are already planning and looking forward to Encampment next year!”
- Caroline and Bruce Kazdan – September 2, 2011 – Jackson 11th Grade, Raya 7th Grade
“It was Noah’s last encampment and it was so bittersweet for him. He talked about and continues to talk about how amazing Encampment was. He has made long lasting friendships through USY and he has had a lot of personal growth through each year’s event.”
- Diane Danker – September 14, 2011 – Noah 12th Grade
“USY made a tremendous difference in the lives of my children. Jonathan and Andrew made friends that they will have forever and have developed a deep love and understanding for their religion that was promoted and nurtured by the USY organization. Thank you again.”
- Rose Koven – September 14, 2011 – Jonathan is in college, Andrew 12th Grade
“I wanted to express my profound admiration for the extraordinary effort you guys put in to allow WJC to host our first-ever Kinnus. The excitement, buzz and ruach in the room on Friday night, Shabbat morning and all throughout the weekend were heartwarming, fun and infectious. It was so wonderful to have so many young and fresh faces singing and dancing and clapping with such immense happiness within our very own building!
I was particularly touched to have been notified that there would be a Shabbat Mincha service yesterday afternoon run by the USYers which would allow me to say Kaddish yet again, I came, I prayed and I was so overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and sheer joy of the Judaism I felt in the room that I left in tears – good ones for a change.
You guys are the reason this synagogue will thrive, and I am so very proud and honored to serve with you on the administrative board.
Of course there are many other people to thank, including Debra Daniels, Paul Chaskes, our clergy, our custodial staff, and all who hosted the students and staff, etc, and I am sure others who I know helped out all weekend, but without you guys spearheading this, it could not have happened.
Yasher Koach for an unbelievable job!”
